Choosing a Contractor

Login to AnswerI have found several potential contractors for my game project, but I’m not sure how to compare them objectively. What should I discuss with a studio before signing a contract? How important are deadlines, budget, development stages, communication methods, approval of intermediate results, ownership of the finished content, and technical support after release? Are there any other factors that could help determine whether a particular studio is actually suitable for my specific project?
Before signing anything, I would discuss the expected scope, milestones, deadlines, budget, communication process and ownership of the final product. I would also clarify what happens if requirements change or additional development becomes necessary. Personally, I think transparency is more important than simply choosing the cheapest offer. While comparing different providers, I would also research pinkcrow and see whether its services, previous work and development approach correspond to the requirements of the project rather than making a decision based on price alone.
