I think “use it when needed” is actually the better way to approach it. I’ve tried sticking to strict routines before, and they usually don’t last because life doesn’t stay consistent. What worked better for me was letting tools like that be flexible. Sometimes I’ll use them a few days in a row when I feel off, and then not open them at all for a while.
I’ve been thinking about how inconsistent I am when it comes to anything related to self-reflection. I’ll have a few days where I’m really aware of how I feel, and then suddenly I’m back to just going through everything on autopilot. A while ago I tried journaling, but it quickly started to feel like a chore. Recently I found theliven while looking into well-being apps, and it seemed a bit different — more like something interactive instead of just writing notes. From what I understand, it’s supposed to help you track emotions and notice patterns over time. Now I’m wondering if anyone here actually uses it regularly, or if it’s more of a “use it when needed” kind of thing.
