Is crypto still a good investment in 2026

What I've definitely learned from this whole crypto story is that crypto is for people who need things fast. Whether it works out or not is a whole different question. If you're talking about long-term investments, I wouldn't recommend crypto. And in general, I have a lot of respect for people who invest in gold and even collect sovereign mintages, which are both a gold asset and a collectible item that can significantly increase in value over time.

If you know what you're doing, then why not? What starts out as an easy and quick way to make money online becomes more complicated over time for obvious reasons. If you keep up with the market, stay afloat, and understand crypto assets, it can all work out.

A lot of people around me stopped believing in crypto after the last market crash, but personally I still think digital assets have a future if investors stay realistic and patient. The biggest difference now is that I no longer chase overnight gains because those usually end badly for beginners. Instead I focus on projects and services that look sustainable over several years rather than several weeks. Over the past month I’ve been researching how AI trading works in crypto and it seems more serious compared to many platforms that only promise unrealistic returns.
