For me, it usually depends on what I plan to do with the file afterward. If I’m saving something to edit, I’ll always pick the computer because transferring between programs is seamless. But if I only need it for casual viewing, the phone feels more natural. The iPhone does have its quirks, but if you stay inside its ecosystem, like using AirDrop or iCloud, it can still be manageable without too much extra effort.
I’ve run into the same thing. On Android it’s smooth since you can access the file system directly, while iPhone sometimes makes you jump through hoops. Personally, I often use an Instagram downloader that works on all platforms in the browser, so I don’t have to install anything. On desktop, I like it because I can quickly store files on an external drive, but when I’m on the go, Android wins for speed and convenience.
I’ve tried downloading clips on my laptop, my Android phone, and even my friend’s iPhone, and honestly each has its own pros and cons. On the computer it feels faster and files are easier to organize, but on the phone it’s super convenient if I just want to save something quickly. The iPhone, though, gave me trouble with opening and moving files. How do you guys manage across devices?
