Utkal Bharat Chief urges SC to monitor chit-fund scam probe in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Utkal Bharat president Kharebela Swain on Wednesday slammed the State Government for the unruly scene created by ruling BJD supporters in front of the CBI office after the arrest of Banki BJD MLA Prabhat Tripathy. He informed that he has written a letter to Chief Justice of India Justice HL Dattu appealing him to ensure a SC-monitored probe.



In the letter, Swain said that hundreds of ruling BJD supporters had gathered in front of the CBI office in Bhubaneswar on November 1 and blocked the vehicle which was carrying senior party MLA and former Government Chief Whip Prabhat Tripathy to the court to seek his remand for interrogation on his alleged links with the chit fund company Artha Tatwa Group.
