BHUBANESWAR: The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which chases the Seashore Group's money trail, on Sunday said it got some vital clues. They might blow the lid off the company's suspected investment in foreign countries and links with some politicians and bureaucrats.
"We are verifying the suspected diversion of Seashore money to abroad. Its bank accounts are being scanned," said an ED officer. The central investigating agency has been interrogating the company's chief Prashant Dash since October 29. His remand period is likely to expire on Monday.
ED sources revealed that Dash allegedly took the help of some Odia NRI businessmen, settled in the USA and UAE, and invested money in some business there. The matter assumed significance as the CBI on September 25 raided a city-based private engineering college, started by some Odia NRIs, where Dash invested Rs 9 crore.
