ST. GEORGE – Dixie Direct, the business that sells a money-savings guide, is continuing in its sixth year of working with local schools to help raise money for school activities and programs by giving back $17.50 — half the cost of each Dixie Direct book — to the schools for each book sold.
The overall amount of money raised for the Washington County schools is expected to be at about $280,000 this year, said Dixie Direct owner Tony Chambers.
“I do this to make a living, but this is something we do to really give back to the community,” he said.
