SAMI Direct launches a total health drink approved by FSSAI

Bangalore: SAMI Direct, one of the fastest growing direct selling companies in India and a subsidiary of the award winning ingredients innovator Sami Group, launched a natural refreshing health drink “Saberry® Drink Mix”.

“Energize your day with Saberry® Instant Drink” – is the tagline for the total health drink. It is a Natural Refreshing Drink with an exotic punch of original fruit flavors to help manage metabolic stress and to rejuvenate the mind & body. “Saberry® Instant Drink” has been approved by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). It is a pack of 10 sachets and each sachet contains 6.5 g of drink mix with no added sugar or preservatives. According to a study report published in Indian Pediatrics Journal (July 15, 2014) it is estimated that about 71% of adolescents in urban centers of India consume energy drinks. The study report also noted that the energy drinks are non-alcoholic beverages containing stimulants like caffeine, herbal extracts (guarana, ginseng, yerba mate, Ginkgo biloba), glucuronolactone, taurine, inositol, L-carnitine and B Vitamins as the main ingredients to enhance physical and mental endurance.

According to Euromonitor International, with changing lifestyles and increasing paucity of time, urban consumers are relying on energy drinks to cope up with fast paced lifestyles. The market size of energy drinks in India is estimated at about Rs 700 crore, growing 20-25% year-on-year. The carbonated drinks market is close to Rs 6,000 crore and is growing by 10-12% annually, says a report.
