CHENNAI: Six more persons, all executives of Rich India Ltd, were arrested by the City Police on Saturday for allegedly assaulting physical education training instructor of Loyola Matriculation Higher Secondary School, taking the tally of those arrested in the case to 25.
City police has stepped up its search to arrest the prime accused Arulanandhu, proprietor of the company and his brother, Sebastian.
Arulanandhu’s son was allegedly subjected to corporal punishment in the school which led to the attack on the teacher. The firm’s Executive Director - Mahesh, Gym Incharge - Krishnamoorthy, Vice-Presidents - Bala Subramani and Arunagiri, Executive Officer - Velusamy and Chief Business Officer - Dhaya Kumar were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Earlier on Friday, 19 employees of Rich India were arrested for criminal trespass and on suspicions of being part of the gang that physically assaulted teacher Baskar Raj.
