Bhubaneswar: Odisha Opposition leader Narasingha Mishra urges CBI to examine CM’s involvement in chit fund scam.
Stepping up the attack on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik after the CBI quizzed his close aide and party office secretary Saroj Sahu in connection with chit fund scam, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Narasingha Mishra on Saturday said now the cat is out of the bag.
“Allegations were made against the Chief Minister about his involvement in the chit fund scam, and we had demanded a CBI probe to find out his involvement. Now with the interrogation of Sahu who is close to CM and virtually part of Naveen Nivas, one should normally expect that the CBI examine the CM to find out his involvement in the scam,” said Mishra. Meanwhile, Naveen Patnaik refused to react on the CBI interrogation of Sahu, according to a TV channel.
