AMWAY Malaysia successfully celebrated 40 years in Malaysia by hosting more than 20,000 Amway business owners (ABOs), their friends and family as well as the public to a weekend-long “World’s Fair” exposition focused on the future.
The venue, Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang, came alive with the Amway National Convention, National Leadership Conference as well as dinner and dance, an expo, food trucks and carnival booths, live bands and deejay performances throughout the day along with a concert and fireworks at night.
Similar to exhibitions at the World’s Fair, the Amway Expo gave attendees a glimpse of the future with technological innovations in nutrition, beauty, home technology and digital business tools.

The Amway World’s Fair Exposition was a tremendous success for attendees and on social media, with more than 90,000 people talking about it via Facebook and Instagram updates, snapshots and videos with the “#AM40” hashtag.
The exhibitions gave visitors a chance to experience Amway’s major brands, the business opportunity, the company’s rich heritage and its values (freedom, family, hope and reward).
Amway scientists from the US and China spoke on current research projects, possible new products and long-term scientific innovations which could transform society.
Amway deputy general manager Mike Duong said: “Amway Malaysia has come a long way from 1976 when we had only five employees, 10 product SKUs and a small warehouse.
“Today, we are a billion-ringgit company with more than 450 differentiated products in nutrition, beauty, durables, homecare and a locally-sourced catalogue.
“The company, along with the business owners, are celebrating 40 years of heritage, values and sustained success.
“The Amway World’s Fair Exposition is a declaration about the future.
“We are excited about what the next decade will bring and we know that by our 50th anniversary, Amway Malaysia will have reached even greater heights.”
Duong unveiled the new Artistry Flora Chic perfume that will be available in November.
“This is our first prestige fragrance, so we wanted to make it truly special, distinctive and memorable for a graceful, life-loving and sophisticated woman.
“The unique blend of floral notes was derived after evaluating more than 100 fragrances and then refined through extensive market research.”
Meanwhile, the National Leadership Conference was attended by top Amway business owners from Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei besides top executives from the US headquarters and across the Asia-Pacific.
“It took on a contemporary ‘TED Talks’ format with eight young and successful ABO couples speaking for 10 minutes each on key topics such as belief, family, financial security, positive attitude and goal setting.
After the conference, all guests were invited to an elegant black-tie dinner in a fairy tale-like garden setting.
