THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Congress(M),which remains virtually shattered ever since its supremo and Finance Minister K M Mani was embroiled in the bar bribe allegations, has gone for an in-house investigation on a growing suspicion that party vice-chairman P C George had been instrumental in making up the case.
A five-member panel constituted under party deputy chairman C F Thomas MLA, which has been assigned with the task of going into the conspiracy angle behind the charges, will eventually address the suspicion too.
The move coincides with reports that a few bar owners from Kottayam region have deposed before the Vigilance team, looking into the charge, that they were present while handing over the bribe.
