Bhubaneswar: Proceedings in the Odisha Assembly resumed after three days of ruckus over various issues. The first part of the third day remained paralysed following sloganeering from both Opposition and ruling party MLAs over different issues. While Opposition MLAs protested against the BJD government over the chit fund scam, the ruling party legislators demanded immediate release of Hudhud and Phailin aid from the Centre. BJP MLAs showed posters and placards seeking an apology from Agriculture Minister Pradeep Maharathy in presence of CM Naveen Patnaik in the House over the alleged misbehaviour with Brajarajnagar legislator Radharani Panda.
Speaker Niranjan Pujari called for an all-party meeting to break the deadlock. Pujari said that Maharathy apologized Radharani over his alleged misbehaviour to the Brajarajnagar MLA. Proceedings also started in a fair manner after the meeting.
