NEW DELHI: Direct Selling firm Amway has signed Hindi film industry actor Farhan Akhtar as the face of it's Nutrilite range of protein products, in an attempt to push sales of the vitamins and dietary supplements brand.
Amway chief executive Anshu Budhraja said nine out of 10 Indians consume less than adequate protein daily. "The majority of prople are not cosuming the world Health Organization minimum recommendation of five servings per day of fruits and vegetables thus missing out on important nutritional benefits. This is a matter of concern."
Amway said half of 50% of it's turnover was contributed by Nutrilite.
Amway India, wholly owned subsidiary of Amway Coporation, said it sells over 130 daily use products across categories such as nutrition, beauty and personal care.
