Amway India expands skin care portfolio with new range

Direct selling FMCG firm Amway India today expanded its skin care portfolio by launching 'Be Bright' range under its premium beauty brand 'Attitude'.

"The company is targeting the burgeoning whitening market which according to the industry estimates is close to 60 per cent of the Rs 7,500 crore skin care market in the country," Amway said in a statement.

Amway India Category Head-Beauty and Personal Care Shveta Paul said: "We are very bullish about the launch of Attitude 'Be Bright' range. Currently, the Attitude whitening cream contributes almost 21 per cent of the brand's turn over.

Be Bright range includes 5 products - face wash, face scrub, face masque, day cream and a night cream.

Skipper forays into western region, opens plant in Gujarat * Kolkata-based PVC pipe maker Skipper today announced its foray into the western region with a new manufacturing facility being set up at Changodar near here.

Company's director Devesh Bansal said the new plant at Changodar, nearly 10 km from here, will be inaugurated tomorrow that will increase its existing production capacity by two-fold.

"This will be our first PVC plant outside Kolkata. We are investing about Rs 50 crore on this new plant, which will add another 10,000 MT in the first phase and expand it later on," said Bansal.

He said the facility will help them establish footing in the Rs 6,000-crore PVC pipes western region market.

He also said that Skipper is in process to add three more plants within one year.

Home Expo India to Begin on April 16

* The fourth edition of Home Expo India (HEI-2015) will get started at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida Expressway from April 16-18, 2015.

Over 500 participants (including marts) will be displaying best of their products to enable a large number of overseas buyers.
