MUMBAI: Some of the accused in the Rs 425crore QNet cheating case submitted fake documents to court to get anticipatory bail, special public prosecutor Pradip Gharat told the court on Thursday.
Later, a police officer filed an affidavit that his statement and signatures were bogus and he was not involved in the probe initially.
This may affect the bail process of the accused, including Michael Ferreira, former world billiards champion and a Padma Bhushan recipient, in connection with the multi-level marketing case.
