CBI raids Odisha MP, businessmen in Ponzi scam

NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Probing the multi-crore rupees ponzi scam, CBI on Tuesday carried out searches at 18 places in four cities including the residences of RajyaSabha MP PyarimohanMohapatra, two retired IAS officers of Odisha, and offices of some industrialists and CMD of Seashore Group of companies. CBI's probe into the scam may cause embarrassment for the NaveenPatnaik government as it had entrusted the Seashore Group with the task of executing different projects on public-private-partnership mode.



The places searched by the CBI included residences of Pyarimohan Mohapatra, a sitting Rajya Sabha member from Odisha , in Delhi and Bhubaneswar and two retired IAS officers from the state, official sources said.
