BJP Seeks Arrest of Minister, MLA'S Linked to Gouda

BHUBANESWAR: The BJP on Friday slammed Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for not taking action against Minister Arun Sahu, BYJD president and MLA Byomakesh Ray and MLAs Pranab Balabantray and Anubhab Patnaik who allegedly have close relation with suspended Factories and Boiler Assistant Director Dr Motilal Gouda.

“The relationship of the Minister and BJD MLAs with Dr Gouda is not unknown. Under their protection, Dr Gouda had been taking crores of rupees as kickbacks. It is not understood why Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is not taking any action against them,” BJP State spokesperson Golak Mohapatra wanted to know in a statement.

He too alleged that the suspect terrorist Rehman’s so-called revelation of giving shelter to Kandahar hijackers has no reality but a plotted story created by the Crime Branch to divert people’s attention from BJD leader’s  involvement in the Oscar chit fund scam and the Motilal case. “Rehman was only 19 at the time of the Kandahar plane hijack incident.  When the NIA could not get any information regarding Rehman’s links with hijackers, how could the State Crime Branch get this explosive information by interrogating Rehman for one-two days only,” Mohapatra wanted to know.
