Bhubaneswar: New revelation about the illegal activities of arrested former Congress Sanakhemundi MLA Ramesh Jena has come to fore with Berhampur district Superintendent of Police saying that the former lawmaker has links with a chit fund company.
Berhampur SP Sarthak Sarangi said that the former MLA has links with Green India chit fund company.
He further informed that a luxury vehicle registered in Haryana belonging to arrested former lawmakers was also seized. The vehicle was gifted to Jena by the chit fund company.

Investigations till date have revealed that he has mainly invested his ill-got money in liquor, gutkha, sand and real estate businesses, the SP added.
“Jena was having 27 cases against him in Berhampur and we have registered three cases against him in 2016 making a total of 30 cases. This apart he has cases against him in Bhubaneswar and Purusottampur,” the SP added.
