Sami Labs was named "Best Innovation and Technology Company" at the Food 360° Conference organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

FICCI appointed a jury of peers, coordinated by Ernst & Young, to give awards to companies in various categories. The awards were given in conjunction with the International Conference on Agribusiness &Food Processing held recently in Hyderabad India, with fairly large participation from India and abroad.

"It is gratifying to have our dedication to innovation recognized by our peers," said company founder Dr. Muhammed Majeed. "We appreciate such recognition of our talented, highly educated and proficient team."

Sami Labs has received the top Pharmexcil Patent Award for 2010 - 2011 in the Herbals, Ayurveda Nutraceuticals category. The Award was presented during the "Pharma CEOs Conclave" organized by the Phaemaceuticals Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) and sponsored by Department of Commerce Industry, Government of India.

Pharmexcil is a ministry set up by the Government of India as a gateway to global pharma trade. The awards honor those companies that excel in developing proprietary products that are granted patents throughout the world.

Sabinsa Corporation, has been awarded the second Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for 2005 in the Enabling Technology/Small Company category for US Patent 6,849,645 for the invention titled “Method of increased bioavailability of nutrients and pharmaceutical preparations with tetrahydropiperine and its analogues and derivatives”. The Thomas Alva Edison Patent Awards, recognizes the most revolutionary product innovations and important scientific breakthroughs originating in New Jersey

Sabinsa Corporation received the Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for the year 2004. The award was presented at the Council's Annual Awards Dinner on November 11, 2004 , at the Liberty Science Center, New Jersey. Sabinsa's U.S. patent (No. 5,804,596) for ForsLean® was awarded this honor in the Consumer/Small Company category.

This is the second award for ForsLean® in the innovation arena. The product earlier won the Best New Product award in 2001 at Nutracon.
